World's End Booksellers ✦ How We Operate

Policies

The short version: we grade honestly, we pack carefully, and we stand behind what we sell.

Grading

We grade to the Overstreet standard. Every copy is assessed under good light before it goes into the listing. Here's what each grade means in plain English:

NM
Near MintNearly perfect. May have one small, unobtrusive printing or handling defect.
VF
Very FineExcellent copy. Minor wear along the spine; flat, clean, and bright.
FN
FineClean and bright with slight wear on the cover. Spine may show minor creasing.
GD
GoodShows significant wear throughout. Complete and readable. Obvious defects.
FR
FairHeavy wear. Creases, browning, or small tears. Still complete.
PR
PoorHeavily worn. May have missing pieces, heavy staining, or major damage.

If we note something specific — a spine tick, a corner blunt, a small crease — that note is accurate. We don't hedge. We don't say “fine for the grade.” We just tell you what's there.

Bagging & boarding

Every comic ships bagged and boarded. We use current-size Mylar-D bags and acid-free backing boards. Older or oddly-sized issues get the right size bag — we don't stuff a Golden Age issue into a Silver Age bag.

We tape the top of every bag. Not aggressively — you can open it easily — but enough that nothing shifts in transit.

Shipping

Comics ship in a rigid mailer or box depending on quantity. We don't let a single comic rattle around in a box with one piece of bubble wrap. Packaging is part of the service.

We ship USPS. Tracking is included on all orders. We'll send you your tracking number when your order ships.

We currently ship within the United States. International shipping on request — reach out before ordering.

Returns

If a comic arrives in materially worse condition than listed, we want to know. Contact us within 7 days of delivery. We'll make it right — refund or replacement, your choice.

We don't accept returns on “I changed my mind” — but we also don't hide behind fine print. If something is wrong, tell us.
